Our Therapists

Hi, my name is Ken Schultze and I am a fourth-year doctoral student of clinical psychology at California Northstate University. 

My therapeutic approach is informed by relational models of therapy, with a focus on understanding how early experiences, attachment patterns, and significant relationships shape our sense of self and the ways we relate to others. I view therapy as a collaborative process where the therapeutic relationship itself can provide a space for greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, and meaningful change. I also have extensive training in ACT and CBT. 

I have a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing personality difficulties and personality disorders, as well as depression. I aim to understand the underlying emotional experiences, relational patterns, and adaptive strategies that may contribute to psychological distress, approaching each individual with curiosity, compassion, and an appreciation for the complexity of their experiences.

My work emphasizes the importance of developing and maintaining a trusting relationship in which difficult emotions, interpersonal challenges, and longstanding patterns can be explored safely and thoughtfully. Through this process, I hope to support individuals in developing a deeper understanding of themselves, strengthening their relationships, and fostering greater emotional flexibility and a more integrated sense of self.
